When in Finland, visit Helsinki’s Kamalig for Home-Cooked Filipino Favorites

6 February 2020, Helsinki –  Now under a new management, Helsinki Kamalig, a Filipino restaurant located at  Heitalahti Market Hall earned recommendations from TripAdvisor  and Helsinki’s Restaurant Guru.  

Ambassador Jocelyn Batoon-Garcia of the Philippine Embassy in Oslo, Deputy Chief of Mission  and Consul General Mariel Algabre,  and  Minister Raul Dado of the soon-to-open Philippine Embassy in Stockholm met the new owners of Kamalig.   They sampled Kamalig’s well-loved  Filipino dishes  such as crispy pork belly, seafood adobo, caldereta, chicken inasal,  and turon (banana) with ube ice cream and pinipig.

In a market hall offering cuisines from different countries, Kamalig champions home-cooked Filipino favorites. End
