First "Working with Scandinavians Seminar" Held at the Philippine Embassy in Oslo

Ms. Karin Ellis explains the cultural traits of Norwegians which may be different from other Scandinavians and those of Filipinos. 

1 February 2020 – Filipino professionals in Norway and personnel of the Philippine Embassy in Oslo kicked off the first day of February with an engaging seminar titled Working with Scandinavians. Held at the Embassy premises, the seminar was conducted by Ms. Karin Ellis who is the published author of the practical books "Working with Norwegians" and "Applying for Jobs in Norway", and CEO of Ellis Culture (www.ellisculture.com)

During the seminar, Ms. Ellis delivered a 5-hour practical-oriented course on the expectations and unwritten rules of Scandinavian workplaces and social life. Filipino professionals and Embassy personnel who attended the seminar learned about the cultural similarities and differences of Norwegians and their Scandinavian neighbours and how these traits translate to various leadership styles and workplace cultures. Participants of the seminar also learned about socializing in Scandinavia including with friends, and among colleagues and peers in the office. End
