COVID-19 PUBLIC ADVISORY NO. 30: MODIFIED ENHANCED COMMUNITY QUARANTINE IN METRO MANILA, LAGUNA, AND CEBU CITY, PHILIPPINES, FROM 16 TO 31 MAY 2020

The Philippine Embassy announces that President Rodrigo Roa Duterte has approved the transition of Metro Manila, Laguna, and Cebu City, Philippines, to a modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) arrangement. Regarding travel, the PCOO press release provides the following: “In MECQ areas, there are still no public transport, there will be no domestic flights except for limited international flights, and inbound travel will be controlled, only overseas Filipino workers and returning Filipinos will be allowed.” Spouses and children of Filipino citizens will also still be allowed to enter the Philippines.
