The Embassy announces that the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) has issued instructions for the return of unclaimed voter’s IDs to COMELEC in the Philippines for storage purposes. As such, the Embassy wishes to issue a last call for voters registered in the Nordic region (Norway, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Sweden) from 2011 to 2015 to claim their voter’s IDs from the Embassy. Those wishing to claim their IDs must email firstname.lastname@example.org on or before 31 October 2019, indicating their full name and the country where they registered as an overseas voter, to confirm the availability of their IDs and express intent to claim them.
Claiming of voter’s IDs for those who email before the deadline will be as follows:
- For voters Norway and Sweden – personal appearance at the Philippine Embassy in Oslo
- For voters in Denmark – personal appearance at the Philippine Embassy in Copenhagen
- For voters in Finland – personal appearance at the Philippine Consulate General in Helsinki
- For voters in Iceland – personal appearance at the Philippine Consulate in Reykjavik
Further instructions will be issued for claiming of IDs by voters in Denmark, Finland and Iceland after 31 October 2019. IDs of voters in Norway and Sweden may be claimed anytime at the Embassy on or before 31 October 2019, during the Embassy's office hours (9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Mondays to Fridays except holidays). Please present your valid Philippine passport or Philippine government ID when claiming your voter’s ID.
All voter’s IDs of those who will not contact the Embassy before the deadline will be returned to COMELEC in the Philippines.
