Norwegian Ambassador to RP Awarded the Order of Sikatuna

Acting Foreign Affairs Secretary Edsel Custodio awards outgoing Norwegian Ambassador to the Philippines, H.E. Ståle Torstein Risa, with the Order of Sikatuna, the national order of diplomatic merit of the Republic of the Philippines on Thursday 30 July in the Department of Foreign Affairs. Ambassador Risa was awarded the Grand Cross, “Datu” in gold for his accomplishments as Ambassador of Norway to the Philippines for more than four years.

The Order of Sikatuna is conferred upon individuals who have rendered exceptional and meritorious services to the Republic of the Philippines, upon diplomats, officials and nationals of foreign states who have rendered conspicuous services in fostering, developing and strengthening relations between their country and the Philippines.

Ambassador Risa is now on his way to his next posting - Hanoi, Vietnam - where he will serve as Ambassador of Norway to Vietnam.
