The Embassy is looking for candidates for the position of Honorary Consul in Stavanger, Norway. An Honorary Consul could be a resident or a citizen of Norway who will be representing the interests of the Philippine Government in Stavanger, including the areas of Sandnes, Haugesund and Egersund.
We wish to inform qualified OAV Voters in Norway, Denmark and Iceland of the www.political arena.com, one of the official websites of the COMELEC that provides candidates and voters a venue to communicate with each other using social networking tools such as blog, chat, forum and multimedia portals.
Qualified OAV Voters in Norway, Denmark and Iceland have now started receiving their personal copies of the Official Ballot and other election paraphernalia for the May 2010 elections directly from COMELEC. The ballots of those whose addresses could not be ascertained were sent to the Philippine Embassy in Norway (These names will be published in this website from time to time).
The Philippine Embassy wishes to inform the public that it will stop issuing the Green Passport (non-machine readable) starting on 1 April 2010. Henceforth, only Machine Readable Passports (MRP) will be issued in accordance with the regulations of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).
